The Small things are the Great things; as in a grain of mustard seed.

About this site

There is always a point at which a thing must begin, and by beginning you journey and into that for which it began in the first place.

I have always been a bit shy when it comes to writing. So, I thought it might be a good challenge to do a blog. That was about four years ago. The problem was procrastination, relevance and of course time. After beginning a course on Latin, which I’m still just beginning, I decided to go with it and delve into the older or ancient themes and interests of mine. I hope they will interest you as well.

The blog itself will most likely focus on the feasts and traditions of the church year, but at times may touch on some other subjects. The idea that ties in with the blog title, is really about things like tradition, and culture that often get overlooked. Deeper meanings, ideas, concepts that started out small and have been overlooked or forgotten, are the ones which I find to be profound and timeless.  So I’m taking the time to look again, to question and to ponder, maybe even to resurrect these little things, because they are still great.
